skribbl.io is a free browser Pictionary game where one player draws a word and everyone else races to guess it in the chat. It asks for nothing but a nickname before dropping a player into a room with strangers, and the newest post in its front-page news column is still dated November 2022.
Why it earned its spot
The whole page is wrapped in a hand-drawn doodle wallpaper — houses, fish, cake, bicycles — sketched a shade darker than the blue field behind it, so it reads as texture rather than clutter. The rainbow marker wordmark and the row of eight grinning avatar heads set the tone before any copy does: this is a game about bad drawings, and the interface is drawn in the same hand. Everything needed to start is compressed into one small panel — name, language, avatar, a fat green Play button — while About, News and How to play sit below the fold as reference rather than pitch.
