Ladder is a strength training app that hands you a weekly lifting program written by a named human coach. Every member joins that coach's team, so the same workout is being done by a group of strangers who can see each other finish it.

Sites that lean yellow
These palettes come from the screenshots themselves, not from anyone's brand book — the spots under each card show exactly which colors carry the page.
8 sites · every one earned it
HolidayClosures answers whether US banks, mail, markets, federal offices, schools and trash pickup are running on a given day. Every answer is hand-checked against the institution's own calendar — the Fed, USPS, NYSE — and where next year's schedule isn't published yet, the page says so.
HuntDates tells US hunters which seasons are open today, counting down, or closed in their state, across deer, turkey, duck, dove and elk. Every date is transcribed from the state wildlife agency's own regulations and linked back to it; the site calls itself a calendar, not the law.
Farmers Market Dates tracks which farmers markets are open today and when each season opens and closes, across 94 markets in ten US cities. A market is marked confirmed only once someone has read this season's schedule on a live page — the other eight say “check before you go”.
Earnaspot is a gallery of well-designed websites where a person opens and uses every applicant before it reaches the wall. Paying only moves a site up the queue — the fee comes back when a site is declined, and every rejection names the reason it failed.
CanningDates turns a US ZIP code into the altitude adjustments a tested canning recipe assumes the cook already knows — minutes for a water bath, pounds for a pressure canner. It refuses to extrapolate: past the last row of the USDA table it says so and points to a county extension office.
Stripe Press
GreenlitStripe Press publishes books about technological progress — reissued classics and new works the payments company thinks the industry should read. The catalog is presented as a physical shelf: real-time 3D volumes you spin, open and leaf through in the browser.
The Creative Independent publishes interviews and practical wisdom from working artists — musicians, writers, filmmakers — on how they sustain a practice. It is run as an ad-free resource by Kickstarter, which is why nothing on it is trying to sell anything.
