Sesame
Sesame is a US telehealth marketplace for booking doctor visits, prescriptions and lab work directly. It accepts no insurance at all: clinicians set their own flat fees and the full price appears before booking, an argument its CEO has made since a 2009 Atlantic essay about his father's death.
Why it earned its spot
The page works in white and soft lavender with a rounded geometric sans, and holds its violet back for the places where something is actually bookable. Care is priced on the face of every card — “From $37/visit”, “From $79/mo.” — and the provider carousel goes further, putting a headshot, a star rating with its review count, a patient quote and real named appointment slots straight onto the homepage. Picking a time is one tap from arrival rather than four screens into a funnel, which is the right structure for a service whose whole argument is knowing the cost before committing.
