Jolie
Jolie sells one product, a filtered showerhead, to people whose skin and hair react to chlorinated tap water. Its opening move is not the product but a free Water Report on what comes out of the pipes at a given US zip code — an unusual place to begin for a company selling bathroom hardware.
Why it earned its spot
The page is built almost entirely from full-bleed photography and generous white space, with a tall condensed sans set in all caps carrying every headline — “BEAUTY STARTS WITH CLEAN WATER” opens the site over a shot of water running through someone’s hair, and closes it again at wordmark scale across the footer. Between them the layout keeps resetting to white: the four showerhead finishes sit in a plain product row with no badges or urgency copy, and the testimonial block is a single quote beside one photograph rather than a wall of star ratings. For a $165 object competing with $20 hardware, the restraint is doing most of the selling.
