amiami
AmiAmi is a Tokyo-based online shop that sells anime figures, model kits, plush and other hobby goods, and ships them to collectors abroad. Its pre-owned stock gets two separate letter grades, one for the figure and one for the box, because for many collectors the box matters almost as much.
Why it earned its spot
The homepage is a dense Japanese retail catalogue, not a curated storefront. A narrow category rail runs down the left, a column of bright hobby-brand banners runs down the right, and the middle is a long grid of product photos grouped under day-stamped headings like ‘Sep. 19, 2026 Updated Items’. Each tile is a shot of a figure over a small pre-order tag, a condensed title and a yen price in orange. The chrome is plain white with thin rules and small type, so all the colour comes from the merchandise. That density is the point for collectors who come back to check each day’s new arrivals.
