WashCodes turns the care symbols printed on a clothing tag into one plain-English washing plan. When symbols on the same tag pull in different directions it always resolves to the stricter reading, never the loosened one.
Why it earned its spot
The decoder sits on warm off-white paper under a letterspaced serif wordmark, with the tag readout — a monospace panel and a “clear the tag” button — pinned above grids of the 41 marks in hairline boxes. Color is rationed: the only red on the page belongs to the crossed-out “do not” symbols, which makes the prohibitions scannable without a legend. Below a black rule, every symbol is restated in two columns of small-caps headings and one-line explanations, the kind of layout that survives being printed and taped inside a cabinet door. The pacing is reference book, not landing page.
