TextDet
TextDet boxes every line of text in a photo, scan or screenshot, running the detector models in the browser rather than on a server. Its table of ten years of detectors deliberately refuses to rank them — the papers test on different datasets, so it reads as a timeline, not a leaderboard.
Why it earned its spot
A near-black hero carries the whole tool: a drop zone, three sample thumbnails, a model picker and a confidence slider sit in one bordered panel opposite an oversized grotesque headline, so the thing works before anything has been explained. Below the fold the page switches to warm off-white and a narrower reading measure, with small monospace eyebrows — HOW IT WORKS, MODELS, GUIDES — marking each band. The model table is the centrepiece: six rows, year and reported result per detector, with a note beneath explaining why those numbers are not a ranking. Acid green is used sparingly, only on the wordmark, the primary button and links.
