FeederDates gives put-out and take-down dates for hummingbird, oriole and suet feeders in all 50 US states. It says plainly that neither Journey North nor eBird publishes a put-out date, and that its windows are its own reading of their arrival data.
Why it earned its spot
A deep forest-green bar and a cream page put nearly all the color in one place: the choropleth map, whose four bands of red, orange, blue and green read as a migration front sweeping north. Below it the states drop into dense regional columns, each an underlined link with its date set smaller and grey alongside, so the eye scans names first and dates second. A single mint call-out strip and a few thin-ruled cards are the only breaks in that rhythm. It closes in plain running prose about how the timing works, which is the right place for it.
