BBQ Math
BBQ Math is a set of calculators for feeding a crowd — how much brisket to buy, when to light the smoker, how much beer and ice to have on hand. Every figure runs through one chain shown in the open — guests × cooked portion ÷ yield — so the trim-and-shrink step most charts skip stays on the page.
Why it earned its spot
A warm cream page with one ember-orange accent, used sparingly enough that it still reads as emphasis: the second half of the headline, the game-day banner, the small icon on each pill. The nine tools sit in a plain three-column grid of white cards whose one-line descriptions are really formulas — “guests × hours × drinker mix → beers, wine bottles, spirits, and pounds of ice.” Below them, dozens of cuts collapse into rows of chips instead of another card grid, which keeps a long index scannable. The page then closes in prose, explaining the yield math at a comfortable measure — restraint that is rare on a calculator site.
